La Maison

I first set foot in Canada in the spring of 1980. We stayed with her sister's family in this house, which is not far from Brentwood Mall in Burnaby.

Brentwood Mall is nothing like it was when I first went there. My aunt and I got stuck in an elevator.

What fascinated me about this house was that it seemed back-to-front, because the front door was rarely touched. The family would usually enter through the back/kitchen door.

There was also a tree house in the back yard. It wasn't there the last time I checked.
